About Me:
I grew up in Red Deer, Alberta with very little exposure to engineers, so when it came time to select a course of study after high school, I trusted my career counsellors and teachers who said my enjoyment of math and science would be a great fit for engineering. In my first job out of university, I still didn’t really know what to expect in a career, but was excited to find out that I would actually be designing buildings and helping to produce construction drawings. Now, I balance my time between my work as a structural engineer renovating and restoring existing buildings, and spending time with my children Jack and Sophie, dog, Buddy, and my rockstar of a wife, Tiana.
Q: What is your favourite book?
A: Fiction: Generation A by Douglas Coupland. Non-Fiction: Give and Take by Adam Grant.
